Scouts

They meet on a Tuesday night from 18:45 to 20:15.

Scouts are a go-getting group of young people aged 10 ½ to 14 who:

  • Master new skills and try new things
  • Make new friends
  • Have fun and go on adventures, at home and abroad
  • Explore the world around them
  • Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond

Week in and week out, they gather in groups called Scout Troops to conquer the small task of changing the world.

The basic scout programme runs up to age 14, at which point young people are offered to join Explorer scouts. Explorers are encouraged to take part in activities more independently and are integrated into other sections as Young Leaders, building on the skills they have gained throughout their scouting journeys and learning how to be a part of, help and lead a programme delivering team.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
